CRAFT ROOTED IN TRADITION
Di Fratelli's approach to craft honors tradition while embracing a contemporary aesthetic. Our network of artisans has worked with leather footwear for generations. Across Albania, many of these workshops remain family-owned, with knowledge passed down through lived experience and practice.
This lineage informs a thoughtful approach to production, allowing for handmade processes rooted in longevity. Techniques include traditional leatherworking, as well as stitching and finishing methods that require time and training to master. Much of the work is done by hand, meaning only a limited number of pairs can be completed each day.
Preserving these skills is essential to Di Fratelli, as is fair treatment and compensation for our manufacturing partners.
THE VALUE OF MATERIAL
Materiality plays a central role in our process, with a focus on high-quality leathers. Working across a wide spectrum of finishes—from soft and supple to dense and structured—allows our team to shape silhouettes that reinterpret familiar forms.
Fine European leathers appear throughout Di Fratelli collections. We partner with tanneries that combine heritage processes with responsible sourcing, supplying hides trusted by leading names in footwear and fashion.
